We work across design, technology and production, and we put new tools to work as soon as they can be made productive, to cut through to precise, lasting results faster than the conventional route allows.
Working instead of or together with your current suppliers, we give you access to high-end studio, engineering and production capabilities at outstanding value for money.
Our work has ranged from product literature and design guidelines for consumer electronics brands to symbol systems for international standards bodies, interactive media installations, technical drawing systems, and objects and prototypes for artists, designers and entrepreneurs. What connects it is a way of working: we translate between worlds — between an artist's sketch and a machine, between decades of legacy files and a modern standard, between a brief and the technology that can actually deliver it.
Our office and workshop are in Berlin, Germany. We speak English, French, German and Spanish.
We worked with Sony, Panasonic, Nokia, ISO, Tresor Berlin Club & Label, and many other lesser-known amazing people and projects.
Most software and production processes are made for big companies: big teams, fixed procedures, endless options. For everyone else, that is usually far too much. Selling a few products online means setting up a shop system built for a department store. Getting a prototype made means finding a workshop that will work from your sketch instead of the technical drawings, files and order quantities it expects. We work the other way round, starting from what you actually need to get done and fitting the tools and the process around it.
We are not limited to the tools an industry usually uses. Parametric design, scripting, digital fabrication, real-time media: we adopt new technology as soon as it can be made productive, and make it work for the people who use it every day.
The result is usually simpler than the problem suggested, in the real and the virtual world alike: a system your team can run on its own, a file a machine can actually make, a prototype you can hold in your hands and actually try out.
